Accountests have provided us with another tool in our recruitment toolbox.  The various on-line tests are easy to use for both the job applicant and those looking to recruit.  The reports provided are detailed yet easy to read and give a better understanding of the applicants knowledge of accounting and skill level than our previous in-house testing.  We now use these tests to assess all potential accounting staff as part of our recruitment process.

Chartered Accountant (Public Practice) Test

$200.00

The New Zealand Chartered Accountant (Public Practice) Test is designed for candidates who are Chartered Accountant (CA) qualified members of their relevant professional body, such as CAANZ, CPA Australia, ACCA or similar overseas professional accounting organisations.

This test assesses accounting knowledge and skills for roles in Public Practice Chartered Accounting firms (manager level and below) and generalist roles in industry or commerce such as Company Accountant or Financial Controller where the role requires knowledge across all areas of accounting including tax.

This test is country specific to New Zealand, with annually updated questions to reflect current taxation rates and financial reporting requirements.

If you're interested in a more industry / commerce related test have a look at the Chartered Accountant (Corporate) Test or the Management Accounting Test.

This test covers four core accounting activities:

  • Financial Reporting
  • Core Accounting
  • Taxation
  • Management / Business Advisory

Recruiting managers gain insight into a candidate's skills and knowledge in each of these four activities and identify performance in the activities most relevant to the vacant role, as well as a comparative overall score and performance against a norm group of other qualified accountants.
