Chartered Accountant (Public Practice) Test
The New Zealand Chartered Accountant (Public Practice) Test is designed for candidates who are Chartered Accountant (CA) qualified members of their relevant professional body, such as CAANZ, CPA Australia, ACCA or similar overseas professional accounting organisations.
This test assesses accounting knowledge and skills for roles in Public Practice Chartered Accounting firms (manager level and below) and generalist roles in industry or commerce such as Company Accountant or Financial Controller where the role requires knowledge across all areas of accounting including tax.
This test is country specific to New Zealand, with annually updated questions to reflect current taxation rates and financial reporting requirements.
This test covers four core accounting activities:
- Financial Reporting
- Core Accounting
- Management / Business Advisory
Recruiting managers gain insight into a candidate's skills and knowledge in each of these four activities and identify performance in the activities most relevant to the vacant role, as well as a comparative overall score and performance against a norm group of other qualified accountants.
